Once the palatial home of a Texas cotton magnate, The
Mansion on Turtle Creek has received such honors as the top
U.S. hotel by Zagat and the top hotel for service in the
world and top U.S. hotel restaurant by Travel + Leisure. In
addition, the Mansion has been rated Mobil Five-Star since
1991 and AAA Five-Diamond since 1992. Situated in Dallas'
most fashionable neighborhood, the Mansion retains the
intimate ambience of a private residence while providing the
highest levels of quality and service.
The Mansion on Turtle Creek is situated on a 4.63-acre site
on a terraced hill at the corner of Turtle Creek Boulevard
and Gillespie Street in Dallas, Texas. The hotel is located
just five minutes from the Central Business District of
downtown Dallas, less than 30 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth
International Airport, approximately 10 minutes from Love
Field Airport and next to Dallas' most prestigious
residential area, Highland Park. The vibrant Victory Park
development and popular Uptown neighborhood are less than
two miles away from the hotel.
A dramatic floral arrangement greets visitors at the
entrance to the 32-foot-high marble rotunda leading to the
reception desk, concierge and a lobby elegantly appointed
with antiques and comfortable lounge chairs and sofa groups
around a fireplace.
The luxurious rooms and suites at the Mansion feature
tasteful furnishings, sumptuous marble baths and French
doors that open onto private balconies. Thoughtful amenities
assure every need is fulfilled, from round-the-clock room
service and twice-daily housekeeping. The 143 rooms
including 16 suites each offer at least 450 square feet, a
comfortable living area and well-designed work area.
Unveiled in October 2007, the renovated restaurant pays
tribute to the Mansion's historic character while blending
contemporary design elements. The restaurant's new look is
highlighted by sleek furnishings, contemporary fixtures and
vibrant artwork. In the main dining room, modern lighting
and honey-colored walls contribute to a warm ambience while
on the veranda; celadon fabrics complement palladium windows
with views of the picturesque patio. Chef John Tesar's
contemporary American cuisine features dishes prepared with
regional ingredients.
