Just outside the charming, historical destination-city of
Charleston, South Carolina, Kiawah Island Golf Resort boasts
villa and condo accomodations and world-class golf and
tennis in a setting found nowhere else. For thousands of
years, eagles, egrets and other natural residents of Kiawah
have enjoyed its lush, semi-tropical environment, while
remaining sheltered from the world. Today, Kiawah Island
remains a haven for those who stay. However, the reasons for
visiting have become more varied. From ten miles of
romantic, unspoiled beach to 30 miles of paved, biking
trails. From kayaking and canoeing adventures to alligator
and birding walks. From oceanfront fine dining to riverside
oyster roasts. Then there's the golf. Five championship
courses, including the world-famous Ocean Course, host of
the 1991 Ryder Cup Matches and the 1997 and 2003 World Cup
of Golf. Your accomodations on this island may comprise a
lavish private oceanfront home with private dock, miles of
deck, and room for everyone. It may be a handsomely
appointed villa mere steps from the first tee. A villa with
breeze-kissed balcony from which the sounds of the sea
provide a sensuous nightly serenade. Or perhaps a luxurious
room or suite at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, the finest
oceanfront hotel built on the East Coast in two decades.
All of the accommodations at Kiawah Golf Resort are rental
villas and private homes. There are the West Beach Villas
and East Beach Villas - both options confer all resort guest
privileges and advantages. Standard guest rooms and suites
are available through the Santuary at Kiawah Island.
Three pool complexes are available to Resort guests. Night
Heron Park Pool is the Resort's largest pool complex,
offering a 25m Jr. Olympic Pool, lap lanes and wading pool.
Large sunning areas, shaded areas, changing facilities and
close proximity to the beach! Sandwiches, ice cream and
beverages available throughout the summer months at the
Night Heron Grill.
