Built in 1873 and transformed into a luxury hotel in 1993,
The Inn at National Hall was selected for inclusion in The
National Register of Historic places in 1994, just one year
after its opening. The Inn has earned the coveted AAA 4
diamond award since 2001.
Fashioned from a landmark Italianate brick structure set at
waters-edge in Westport?s fetching historic district 60
minutes from New York city, national hall has been
sumptuously restored into an intimate and gracious
mansion-style hotel of the highest caliber. Exquisite
stenciling, wall murals, cherry molding and fanciful tromp
embellish the home-like salons and artful elevator, designed
to resemble a cozy gentlemen's library. Attention to detail
carries through the 16 individualized guest quarters,
featuring king beds, ritzy baths and all with river and
village views. A fine restaurant is situated on the premises
and nearby lies a wealth of appealing boutiques, antique
stores and art galleries.
